About Captain Ben

Captain Ben has traveled up and down the east coast fishing both recreational and for hire.  Ben has fished in numerous tournaments and has either won or placed very high in most of them! His first tournament ever was in Wilmington,NC and was a tournament for grown men.  Ben took first place respectably in his first tournament at a ripe old age of 8 years old and from then on winning or being the best was in his blood.  This character trait is very noticeable in a day on the water with Ben and he hopes you will come experience his passion.

What is Above Average

Shortly after the purchase of Bens boat he spent a day on the water with fishing partner Capt. Rudy Levasseur and Nascar driver Mark Martins crew chief. As the trio were weighing in their Virginia Saltwater Citation worthy flounders the comment was made that "yall boys sure are 'Above Average' "  and the name stuck.
